AREAS OF OUTSTANDING NATURAL BEAUTY

Beach beauty awaits

North Norfolk has miles of winding coastline waiting to be discovered. From sand dunes to clifftops, we've got it all!

If you're eager to get up and out the door bright and early to blow the cobwebs away, or you enjoy taking things at a much more leisurely pace, we'll be here to ensure happy bellies are guaranteed with a hearty breakfast before you set off on your adventures.

Although there's a generous stretch of coastline here on the north coast perfect for full days of walking, you don't have to travel too far from the hotel to find Norfolk's beauty spots. The landscapes right here on our doorstep are considered to be something extremely special.

Norfolk's coastline is officially recognised as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, meaning that it is one of the UK's most cherished landscapes. The AONB covers 56 miles of coastline and includes Hunstanton, Wells-next-the-Sea, Blakeney, Sheringham, Cromer and Mundesley.

These locations have a legal status to ensure its preservation, whereby in 1968 it was declared that the North Norfolk coast would be protected for its beautiful landscapes, golden beaches, nature reserves and stunning wildlife. There's only 46 AONB's in the UK, and we're so incredibly proud to be one of them!

So, whether you're looking to get lost in bridle paths deep within Norfolk's stunning countryside, or simply pitch a spot on Mundesley Beach with a bite to eat, you'll be truly immersed in Norfolk's natural beauty wherever your holiday takes you…
